About me
My name is Elina and I am a certified medical doctor (surgeon), body and Ayurvedic therapist, personal development counselor, yoga teacher, coach for spiritual work with women, and simply a seeker of God.
I find myself at a stage in my life where I feel ready to share with you my experience, my gathered knowledge, and my journey hoping to inspire all those whose path I have the honor to touch even a little bit.
Since my early teenage years, I knew I wanted to become a doctor, rather instinctively following my inner desire to help others. So when the time came, I applied for medical school. Even if the studies were tough, I was very happy and proud of myself. Years passed and I started to observe, learn and discover the side aspects of the medical profession. I started to ask myself questions about the true price and purpose of the medical system nowadays, also questioning whether modern medicine is focusing on the correct approach to human nature and its well-being and whether modern doctors are not rather forced by the massive institution machine to apply tactics not always in the benefit of the patient.
My initial enthusiasm for making a career out of this profession started to gradually expand into wider horizons, not purely financial. A family tragedy that happened sometime in the same period coincided with my growing urge for answers. So, I started the search and the quest.
I found a yoga course which I started frequenting every week with great curiosity. My thirst for answers to my questions about the mysteries of human nature, about the universe, about energy and what’s beyond the visible, and about God was getting quenched, it felt like a breath of fresh air. I understood that yoga is not a religion, but a path to get to know God within yourself.
In parallel, I began to follow the Ayurveda (an ancient traditional medicine system from India) courses at the same school, where I learned a completely contrasting approach to the disease and the patient than what I was learning at the medical university. I was happy to finally have found a way to harmoniously combine these two systems of knowledge.
Meanwhile, I had dived into reading books and studying the texts of tantric treatises, psychology, meditation and self-discovery. I started exploring the human universe from a holistic perspective learning about the art of massage, conscious touch and eroticism, intimacy, creativity and spiritual energy.
By the time I finished my medical studies, I had completed 6 years of Ayurveda and had applied in my personal practice many of the techniques and methods I’ve learned in spirituality. I have gained lots of knowledge and lessons, but the real difference is the practical experience of those methods, the work with so many patients and friends, and working in women’s groups and communities.
After working a few years in the hospital, I soon understood that fighting the deeply rooted medical political system would be like Sisyphus labor. I had to decide about my future. So, I decided to part ways with the medical career as such and start on my own as a seed carrier of all the magical, mysterious, and beneficial gifts I’ve been given, too.
That’s how KAMADEVA was born.
I’ve been a practitioner of yoga and tantra for over 20 years, a teacher for over 10 years, and a holistic therapist for over 7 years.
It’s been an amazing journey for me, and I don’t regret a thing!
Looking back now I can barely recognise myself when I only started. From a shy, quiet, with serious self-confidence issues young lady who would choose to say nothing instead of asking, and who would turn red when asked, I’ve transformed into a fully confident, self-aware, blossoming woman who learned to love and forgive herself, learned to love and accept others, as well as listening to her heart, because that is the place through which God speaks to us.
Another essential aspect of my life that suffered radical improvement as a result of my spiritual journey into the world was my relationship with people around me, dear ones, friends, but also strangers and ultimately, my couple relationship. It took me almost two decades to go through various couple experiences, some better than others, to allow certain patterns of mine to repeat and bump my head into the same issues until I could see, understand them and was able to make a change for the better.
Relationships gained an important role in my life and I became passionate about their necessities, mechanisms, secrets, and patterns and ways to understand and improve them.
I am currently in a happy loving relationship with the man that I love and who is the embodiment of my efforts and my victories until now. In the last 3 years since we’ve been together my life transformed in a measure that I could not imagine and I am forever grateful for this relationship.
I firmly believe that everyone deserves to find out and benefit from the beauty of life’s gifts, with love and kindness, compassion and tenderness, but also lots of courage, for everyone to find true happiness and fulfilment in their lives.
I am here to share with you, to help, and to guide or inspire all those who are in search of meaning in their lives. I am a passionate holistic practitioner of the yoga and tantra systems, naturist therapies, meditation, tantric art of massage and therapy, Taoist sacred erotic arts, and couple relationship counselor.
Thank all of you who only inspired me to carry on my work and I’m waiting for you at KAMADEVA to start the journey into the mysteries of your universe.
Love
Elina
